Lord of Peace
A seminar teaching practical ways to strengthen your friendship with Jesus and make Him a constant part of your daily life—to truly “Live at the Well.” Interweaving the Word of God with interesting stories from the world of current events, science, and history, Kelly provides renewed hope and strength based on the love of God for each of us personally, and shows how a friendship with Him impacts in practical ways the responsibilities and challenges of our lives. Often used as a Women's Ministry event, this is also a great seminar to use as an evangelistic outreach and invite your friends.
Letter from a 16-year-old girl
I attended the “Lord of Peace Retreat” that Kelly Mowrer presented at my church, and I just have to say, I was blown away. When she began speaking on the difference between a performance and relationship based perspective it made me realize that many things I did were all for performance. I found myself looking deep into my heart and seeing that some of the things I was doing I didn’t even like. I was just doing it all for performance. I also started keeping a journal that helps me count my blessings. When I’m feeling down and just mad at the world and all that is in my mind are the negative things of life, I sit down with my journal and start listing out simple things to be thankful for, things that I take for granted every single day. I’ve also began keeping scriptures stuck on and around my mirror. So now while I’m getting ready in the mornings I can read them over and over and claim that promise for the day, and I’ve found that nine times out of ten that the verse I read that morning was exactly what I needed to get me through the day.
